We have not been able to perform concerts this year due to Covid, so we decided to create a musical Christmas card using old favorites. "The Cherry Tree Carol" is one of the few Child Ballads that is also a Christmas carol. The story comes from the apocryphal Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew written circa 650 and the song dates back to the 15th century.
"Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella" is a Provençal song that appeared in a collection of noëls in France in 1668. We hope that you like these tunes and will share them with friends, family, and fans. Just include this link when you send it in a text or email.
